Myers Jackson hosted a wonderful piece of Georgia land to be sold at auction in Berrien County Georgia this past November. The Georgia land auction was held on-site. The property was located in NW Berrien county, east of Tifton, GA. There was 183 acres offered in 9 tracts. It was offered high bidder's choice.This great piece of Georgia land included two residential dwellings, multiple ponds, and vast pastures and timberland.
Before the auction got underway, auctioneer Myers Jackson read all the terms and conditions, including the buyer's premium to the crowd of 60 or so attendees. There were 28 registered bidders. The auction was held reserve. In the first round of bidding, tracts 2-6 were taken for $3,000 dollars/acre. The second round sold tract 1 for $52,000, round 3 sold an additional building for $2,000 dollars. After all the bids were placed on the tracts, they were offered in combination to the highest bidder, and one purchaser took 3 tracts in combination for $647,000 dollars.
The owner confirmed the final high bids, and the sale has been posted closed as of January 10th, 2008.
