Land Programs

Land Owners are faced with many disadvantages in these modern times. The Farm Service Agency (FSA) is the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s principal agency charged with promoting a stable and abundant crop produced from America’s farmland. The FSA serves the public by providing all ranchers and farmers equal opportunity to participate in farm commodity, credit, conservation, environmental, and emergency assistance. All of the programs offered through the FSA promote superior land stewardship, which in turn helps preserve our agricultural prosperity for the many generations to come.

The 2002 Farm Act helps farmers manage market risk through several key programs. Marketing loans, direct payments, and countercyclical payments are available to farmers through the FSA.

For more information on the different types of programs available through the FSA please visit http://www.fsa.usda.gov.
